Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINE MACLEOD It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Christine Marian MacLeod on December 1, 2013 at the age of 73. The daughter of the late Rev. John and Jean MacLeod, she was born November 25, 1940 in Stonewall, Manitoba. She lived in Warren, Carberry and Morris prior to attending the University of Manitoba and graduating from the faculty of Pharmacy in 1962. Christine enjoyed her career as a hospital pharmacist. She was a lifelong student keenly interested in a wide range of subject areas from history to sports. She travelled widely and particularly enjoyed time with family. Her nephews and nieces would say she was game for any new adventure. She lived her life with love, courage and dignity and forever will be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. We are sad that you are gone, but happy that your pain is over. She was an inspiration to us all. Christine will be missed by sisters Lu and Isabelle (Doug Southam), brother John (Maureen) and sister-in-law Lorraine MacLeod, nephews and nieces Gregory (Jennifer), Tracy and Sandra (Doug Dougherty) Southam, Bruce (Debbie) MacLeod, Heather (Greg) Penno and Angus MacLeod, Darryl (Amber) MacLeod, Allison (Arnan Dachner), Kathryn (James Friedrich) and Jonathan (Amanda) MacLeod and several great-nephews and nieces, all of whom she dearly loved. She was predeceased by her parents, brother Angus and infant sisters Jean and Ruth. Respecting Christine's wishes, there will be no formal services. Interment to be in St. Vital Cemetery. The family would like to thank the CancerCare staff at the Health Sciences Centre, Victoria General Hospital and Palliative Care Ward at St. Boniface Hospital, as well as the volunteers at St. Boniface Hospital who brightened up her days with their visits. In lieu of flowers, if one so desires, make a donation to a charity of your choice. Christine and I were friends in grade school in Carberry. My mother is Eva Mitchell. Brother is Ron Mitchell. After Christine and family moved to Morris, Christine and I remained friends as 'pen-pals'. We lost touch over the years but I remember fondly our friendship. My condolences to all of you, Sincerely, Lynne - Posted by: Lynne Mitchell-Pedersen (friend - in childhood) on: Dec 08, 2013

My deepest sympathies to Christine's family. We both graduated from the Morris High School in 1958. She certainly was game for any new adventure. We took part in the high school curling bonspiel with Johnny Pelland as our skip. Margaret Schmall & I had never curled before and I don't think Christine could see to the end of the rink. We had to rely on our skip. We had a great time and believe it or not we took the 3rd prize in the second event. May God grant you peace and comfort at this sad time. Sincerely.
