Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMILY NELSON (nee LANYON) June 22, 1924 - December 13, 2013 Kingston, Ontario It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Emily was predeceased by her husband Walter, son-in-law Ed Doerksen, her parents Fred and Mary Lanyon, sister Betty, brother Fred (sister-in-law Ewna), and nephew Phillip. Emily leaves to mourn her sons Leslie (Kingston) and Walter; daughters Brenda and Valerie (Kingston); grandsons Eddie, Daryl, George (Edmonton), Thomas (Kingston) and Jason; granddaughters Karen, Cheryl, Rose, Kayla and Christy; great-grandsons Donavin, Taylor and William, and great-granddaughter Darla. Special thanks to Thomas for all the care and devotion he gave to Gramma. Mom, we miss you terribly. Keep our love in your heart as we will keep your love in our hearts. Your family. With respect to Emily's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held in Winnipeg.

Grandma you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. I wasn't as close to you as others over the past years but you were always close in my heart. I know you are happy and healthy now and with your other loved ones. We will meet again someday, till then I know you're watching over me. Love you always. Christy.
