ALEXANDER ROSS FORBES
Date of Passing: Dec 15, 2013
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALEXANDER ROSS FORBES It is with great sadness our family announces the sudden passing of our father and grandfather, Ross, on December 15, 2013 in his 77th year. Ross was predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret, mother Mary, father Alec, and older brother Murray. Ross was born in Greenway, MB eventually settling in Winnipeg. Ross served in the Canadian Military, later working at Bel-Acres golf course and managing the CFB Curling Club. Left to remember him are his loving partner Darlyne Fathers, loving daughters Lynn Kammerlock, Cathy Torchia (Dean), cherished granddaughter Caitlyn, furry friends A.J. and Susie, brothers George (Vera), Curt, and special family friends Don and Helen Tole as well as many nieces and nephews. We're blessed, as was Ross, to have celebrated Christmas the evening before his passing and take comfort that Ross was able to enjoy his daughter Cathy's butter tarts one last time. The family will be holding a celebration of Ross' life at a later date.

Many happy times were spent with Margaret and Ross in our 5 years at RCAF Station Saskatoon. We also worked with Ross in the Supple Section. Although we drifted apart for a few years we connected again 5 years ago and had some wonderful catching up times. Ross will be missed. Condolences to all the family. - Posted by: Sid & Connie Hucul (Friends from Saskatoon Days 1959-64 ) on: Sep 27, 2014

My deepest condolences to Darlynn and family. Although I had the pleasure of knowing Ross for only a very short time, he made a large impact on my life and many others in both the Tuesday and Thursday groups...Ross was, as many described this week as they learned of Ross's passing, a rarity... He was a true gentleman, always a kind word, a cheerful greeting and much gratitude for each day....Please know Ross will be missed by many.....God bless and console each of you in His perfect way... - Posted by: Kate Regnier () on: Dec 21, 2013

A wonderful person to have known! Always enjoyed our chats with Ross (and the teasing), when visiting at our Aunt Muriel's house. Ross was also a Dear and Trusted Friend to George and Muriel. Rest in Peace Ross. Sincere Sympathy to Darlyne, Cathy, Lynn and Family. - Posted by: Lucy & Lisa & Brad Hutchinson (Friends) on: Dec 21, 2013
