Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGUERITE CLARA RUDDELL (nee HURST) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear Marguerite C. Ruddell on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Portage District General Hospital at the age of 83 years. Left to cherish her memory are her children Gordon (Debby) Ruddell of Trochu, AB, Gerald (Ronda) Ruddell of Grand Prairie, AB and Virginia Ruddell of Winnipeg, MB; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings Kathleen (Alvin) Ruddell of Winnipeg, MB and Jack Hurst of Vernon, BC, and many caring nieces and nephews. Service to celebrate Marguerite's life will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Herman Prior Centre. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Marguerite's memory to the Herman Prior Centre, 40 Royal Road N., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1V1 or McKenzie United Church Memorial Fund, 85-11th St. NW, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 2S2. To the Ruddell family, I am so sorry to hear of your mother's passing. My parents Barry and Verna Winslade had the pleasure of meeting your mother about 10 years ago (my dad was the grandson of William George Ruddell). They spoke fondly of her and my dad looked forward to speaking to her occasionally on the telephone. I regret I never got the chance to meet her.
