When I think about Jack Goodman I think of him with nothing but warm fond memories. He was our next door neighbour for many years. I believe that he loved us as if we were his own family. I remember when I had a serious fall off my bike with road rash up one side of my body and no one was home to help. But Mr Goodman was home and he patched me with he great First Aid skills and lots of TLC. He is one of my Heroes. - Posted by: Donna Freeman-Morel (Neighbour) on: Mar 17, 2014

Mr Goodman was the best neighbour you could ask for. He was a good friend to our whole family. I remember him and my dad talking for hours over the short fence that divided our back yards. After my dad died in 1967 just days before my 13th birthday, Mr. Goodman became more to me than just a good friend, he became an important roll model for me. Mr Goodman belonged to the army reserves and I can still picture him in his uniform heading off to there meetings. He also volunteered as a first aid attendant for the St Johns Ambulance. Quiet, caring and strong are how I remember him. I was very fortunate to have had him in my life. - Posted by: Doug Freeman (Friend ) on: Mar 16, 2014

I knew Jack Goodman from both the Bnay Abraham Synagogue and the General Monash Legion, both of which he faithfully attended for many years. I later had some very pleasant conversations with him at the Simkin Centre, where I met some family members. He quietly did his duty in both war and peace. He was a good-natured and very decent man. My deepest and most sincere condolences to his family. I shall always remember Jack Goodman fondly. Henry Trachtenberg - Posted by: Henry Trachtenberg (Friend) on: Jan 24, 2014
