Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAM (ABE) FRIESEN May 17, 1921 - February 3, 2014 Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather went to meet his Saviour at the age of 92. He was predeceased by his wife Tina (2004) and all but one sister. Left to mourn are his four children Larry (Caroline) Friesen, Harvey (Maxine) Friesen, Stanley (Anna) Friesen, and Darlene (Patrick) Germain, 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Abe accepted Christ as his Saviour and was baptized at the Mennonite Brethren Church. After Abe and Tina were married they started farming in the Sewell area. Dad became well known for his ability to repair any type of farm machinery. After farming for 31 years, they retired to Winnipeg. Even while they lived in Winnipeg he was often busy fixing things for family and friends. A service to commemorate and celebrate Abe's life will be held at Winnipeg Evangelical Free Church, 500 Lagimodiere Blvd., on Monday, February 10 at 10:00 a.m., with viewing prior to the service. Interment will be at Lowe Farm Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gimli Bible Camp, Canadian Sunday School Mission, 189 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba R2L 1L7. Our condolences to the family of Abe. I have one of Abe's custom made waffle irons in my garage. We have enjoyed it many times over the last 35 years or so. Abe and Tina even helped with the fire start up and cooking.
