JAMES COLTMAN WATT SPEARS February 1, 1947 - February 1, 2014 On February 1, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, Jim passed away in the company of his children at St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Jim was a devoted father, generous person and hard worker. He retired from CN Rail in 2010 after 35 years of service. Jim had a passion for deer hunting, Formula One races and motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, going to the movies and to car shows. He enjoyed long motorcycle rides with his brother for breakfast on weekend mornings. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Kerry (Humberto), Neil, Ian (Erin); his brother and sister, Margaret (Paul) and Maurice (Susan); grandchildren Raquel and Mathew; nieces and nephews, Eddie (Dilara) and Margo (Andrew) and their children. A private gathering for close family will take place at Chapel Lawn where he will be joining his mother Margaret and father David. Love you forever Daddy, Rest in Peace.

  • Met Jim at Gateway Gun Club back in about 1978. We went to a lot of shooting meets together over the years. We went hunting once in a while but came home empty handed.
