Date of Passing: Feb 03, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES (JIM) AGNEW ROBINSON Sadly, we announce the passing of James (Jim) Agnew Robinson on February 3, 2014 at the St. Boniface Hospital. He made his decision with dignity and his usual determination. Jim joined the Manitoba Hydro as a young man and moved around the province as an lineman until settling in Poplar Point as a District Supervisor, where he eventually retired. Jim was very involved in community and sports activities including the Senior Men's Slo-Pitch Organization. He was predeceased by elder son, Jamie and his siblings. He will be missed by his wife of 63 years, Mary; daughter, Darla (Chris); son, Ken (Cheryl); daughter-in-law, Cynthia; granddaughters, Jennifer (Rick); Jocelyn (Mike); great-grandchildren, Christian, Reid, Sam, and Ben; niece, Shirley (Vern); like-a granddaughter, Lisa (Rick) and children, Coltyn and Amaiya; and many other members of our extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, he would have appreciated donations to local youth sports organizations. There will be an informal memorial gathering on March 2, 2014 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Portage la Prairie Canad Inn Hotel in the lounge where he would meet the guys for coffee served by their favourite waitress, Sherry. Please come and share your stories.
