HAP SANG NG It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our much-loved father, grandfather, uncle, and dear friend Hap Sang Ng on March 5, 2014 at the age of 83. He was predeceased by his older brother Wai Sang. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 56 years, Yue Harp, son Jack (Jhoyce), daughters Susan (Holy), Janet (Kiet), Joanne (Bong), and Lisa (Pak), and grandchildren Jaden, Jordan, Ashley, Phillip, Matthew, Brendon, Justen, Ryan, Kiana, and Chett. Hap Sang will also be missed by his sister-in-law Yee Chong, his sisters Shirley (Gordon) and Tsui Chun (Sun Woon), as well as many nieces and nephews. Hap Sang was born in Taishan, Guangdong, China, and immigrated with his family to Winnipeg in 1981. He had a passion for gardening, taking long bike rides, and Chinese cinema. Hap Sang was known to offer a helping hand to family and friends. He cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. We would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home and Seven Oaks General Hospital for their compassion and care. The viewing will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11 at 2:00 p.m. Both will be held at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway, Winnipeg. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Hap Sang's life at Kum Koon Garden Restaurant, 257 King Street at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Seven Oaks General Hospital Foundation Inc. http://sogh.ca/foundation/
