Sandra (Sandy) was my dearest and most beloved friend. We met when she worked at Kromar Printing and I worked at Royal Bank and went for lunch every day together , spent many evenings together as well as weekends playing cards or going to bingo We spent all our holidays together. My daughter, Jennifer loved her aunty Sam, but then who didn’t love Sam. We were inseparable! Sandra loved a challenge and being her own boss was always her goal. Sandy and her friend Lois opened Passages Travel and after that opened Samantha’s which is now Oakwood Cafe. When Sandy decided to move to BC to spend the rest of her days there, I cried, . The friendship we had comes but once and although this tribute is written years after she’s passed, I still miss this wonderful person and I always will but she has managed to let me know that her love still surrounds me. Sam , I am so privileged to have you as my friend. I love you! - Posted by: Kathy Slezak (Best Friend) on: Jan 04, 2022

Sandra is much loved and missed by my family of three children, their spouses, and three Grandchildren. Sandra had a tender heart and especially loved children and animals. She was "Auntie Sandra" to the little ones and they always put a smile on her face. She also loved to cook, which we all appreciated. Sandra was enjoying BC and the West Coast, saying "at least you don't have to shovel winter rain." She marveled at people wearing shorts and sandals throughout the winter months and was very proud of her light raincoat. I deeply miss my room mate, best friend, and cousin but I am happy she lived with us for the last months of her life. We were so fortunate to have had her. Now my dear friend is free of pain and happy to be with her Mom, Dad and Grandmother. May you rest well after a life well lived Sandra. - Posted by: Charlene Say (Cousin) on: Mar 14, 2014
