Left to cherish Lise's memory are her husband Patrick Slevin; sisters Pierette (Yvon Picard) and Edith (Maurice Paquin); many nieces; nephews; cousins and many dear friends. She was predeceased by her mother Aurore and her father Alcide. Lise was a special lady who touched so many lives. She began her career in her hometown Shawinigan, QC, later moving to Ottawa where by miracle she met Patrick and moved to Winnipeg in 1984. Lise was the French language coordinator for the provincial department of health until her retirement in 2002. Together, Lise and Patrick enjoyed their retirements. They travelled throughout Canada and the United States often with slo-pitch teams. The highlight of their travels was a cruise around the world in 2008. Lise also cherished being at her home and spending the winters in Arizona. In compliance with Lise's wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. A special thank you to the fantastic staff and caregivers for the loving care Lise received both at GD-4 at HSC and the palliative home care. In lieu of flowers, please hug someone you love. I was so sorry to hear of Lise’s death. I worked with her in the late 80s at Mr. Desjardins’ office. She was one of the nicest & classiest people I’ve had the privilege of working with. My sincere sympathies to Patrick and to all her family. - Posted by: Suzanne Nolette (Former Colleague) on: Mar 25, 2014

What a beautiful photograph. Lise will be sadly missed but her memory cherished. We all shared her passion for traveling the world. And though we cannot be there, we are celebrating Lise's capacity for love and living life to its fullest. The words of Serge Gainsbourg express what we saw in Lise: La vie ne vaut d'etre vecue sans amour. Life is not worth living without love. Lise's life was full of love and she shared it with all of us through her warmth and kindness. - Posted by: The Delichte Family () on: Mar 23, 2014

Lise was a dear and cherished friend with whom Jim and I have spent many wonderful times over the years. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. My heart goes out to you, Paddy. You will have difficult days ahead of you but you, like I did, will eventually learn to cope and go on, as she would want. Our memories of her will live as long as we do. - Posted by: Doreen Bullen (Friend) on: Mar 22, 2014
