BERNA COLPITTS Suddenly, on March 28, 2014 Berna Colpitts passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 91 years. Berna is survived by her son Don Colpitts, grandsons Jason and Jeremy, and great-granddaughters Teaghan and Kayleigh. She was predeceased by her parents John and Marta Bogseth, brother George, sisters Hilda Flockton and Betty Becher, and in 1979 by her husband Ralph Colpitts. Berna was born in Sweden and came to Canada with her parents in 1926 and lived in St. Vial all her life. She worked at Murphy's Drug Store for many years and was well known with many friends in the community. Berna will be greatly missed by her life-long friend Allen Franks, who she met in grade one at Glenwood School. Auntie Berna will also be sorely missed by her care-giver Joann Kuhnle and other nieces and nephews in Canada and the USA. A special thank you to her home care workers for their services and their patience and understanding. A Service of Remembrance will be held at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg, on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor David Saude will deliver the eulogy. We met Berna about 15 years ago when Allen regained his friendship after running into her at the bank. Allen and Berna became really good friends. They never missed their Tuesday date night! Berna always dressed beautifully, a real classy lady! She never had a mean thing to say about anyone, she was always full of compliments. When our kids were younger she would always say how beautiful they were and buy them chocolate. They would sit there and soak it all up. Although Kurtis would say I'm handsome not beautiful! Brena would get a laugh out of that. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her!
