I'm so very sorry to hear of Betty's passing. I worked with Betty in the military at Training Command Headquarters in Winnipeg in the mid 1970's, and later at Air Command HQ in Winnipeg. I was a Private and she was my immediate supervisor as Master Corporal. She was a great mentor and I remember her being very cheery, efficient and always kind and amiable. After all these years she still stands out in my memory as she made a great impression on me as a young private. She had an unforgettable personality. I met Betty at a bank in Winnipeg a few years ago after not seeing her for almost 30+ years and she hadn't changed a bit. My warm condolences to Verna on the loss of Betty. - Posted by: Teresa Beauregard (Colleague) on: Jun 02, 2014

I recall when Aunt Betty returned from postings abroad with the RCAF (Spain, Egypt, Germany, etc.) that she always remembered to bring back gifts for my brother, my sister and myself and we always looked forward to seeing her again. This was back in the 1950s. I also remember visiting her and her partner Verna at their cottage with my youngest daughter during the Pan Am games held in Winnipeg in 1999. What a nice day that was with many pleasant memories. Rest in peace Betty, your long journey is over. Love always from your nephew, Ross. - Posted by: Ross Jenkins (Nephew) on: May 30, 2014
