DAISY GEALL
Born: May 25, 1917
Date of Passing: Jul 28, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAISY GEALL Daisy has peacefully achieved the fullest realization of her faith on July 28, 2014 at the age of 97 as she passed on to eternal life. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack Geall, her parents Harold and Sarah Peacey, brother Harry Peacey, and sisters Lillian Peacey and Ruby Balharry. Her memory will be cherished by son Jack Geall Jr. (Emily), daughter Evelyn Thompson (Dave), and son Gerry Geall (Anne) as well as 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Daisy married Jack on February 8, 1936. Daisy was born on May 25, 1917 in Witley, Hambeldon, England. She immigrated with her parents to Canada as an infant. Daisy loved crafts, baking, the casino, gardening, collecting inspirational quotes, unsubtle jewelry, shopping, and had such a passion and interest in her family and ice-cream Dixie cups right to the end. Her granddaughter Roberta summed it up best: "White sauce is the best thing on Earth! Mince meat tarts have tops. Nail polish should have glitter in it. Brooches are always in fashion. You can eat ice cream whenever you want. There is no such thing as too many Christmas decorations. Said decorations are always better if made by hand with yarn and plastic by Granny. Sign every card with 'all my love' or 'God bless' or better yet both! She bedazzled her family and friends with love and kindness and loved attention." The family extends a huge thank you to the staff at Red River Place in Selkirk, Misericordia Interim Care, Riverview Palliative Care, and especially Kildonan House: "It's just like home here, and we all take care of each other." Memorial service will be held at Saint George's Wakefield Anglican Church on August 11 at 11:00 a.m., 8719 Hwy. 9, between Clandeboye and Petersfield. Please visit www.stgeorgeswakefield.ca for directions. Reception to follow at The Cellar at Benjamins, 397 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. George's Wakefield Anglican Church, P.O. Box 2, Clandeboye, MB R0C 0P0.

Daisy has been such an inspiration and added such flash and fun to my life over the past 25 years! She had a solid faith in God, and love for her son, Gerry, to read bible verses or inspirational readings to her during the past few months where she was mainly bed-ridden. Her parents were deeply religious, and her mother was very active with the Salvation Army. Daisy was youthful in her appearance, dress, and attitude up to age 95, which is really impressive! All holidays, especially Christmas, were celebrated and decorated to an extreme. She adored her extended family and was always interested in their daily lives. “Psalm 18:28 You light a lamp for me. The LORD, my God, lights up my darkness." Daisy, such a flashy, glittering, sparkling, mother-in-law, I will miss you and treasure my memories of you. - Posted by: Anne Wolkenstein (daughter-in-law) on: Aug 03, 2014
