FRITZ HARTUNG 1919 - 2014 On August 1, 2014 my dear husband of 66 years passed at the age of 94. We met at the end of the Second World War, when Fritz a (German soldier) was repatriated to England from the USA. We met at a village dance and he swept me off my feet. Our life together was adventurous, starting with our immigration to Canada. We have seven wonderful children, Roy (Yasio), Michael (Lynne), David, Carl (Rafeya), Roger (Carol), Shirley (Mike Timlick), Katrine. We are blessed with 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Fritz has a sister, Urna, in Germany who he loves dearly. Sadly he was predeceased by his grandson Damon, who also battled against cancer. Fritz loved family parties, travelling (except at Christmas, that was family time) soccer (we watched every game of the World Cup), the Winnipeg Jets and the Blue Bombers (He watched the Bomber game on Thursday surrounded by his family). Our family thanks the staff at Golden West Lodge for everything they did for Fritz, they truly are an extension of our family. My Dear Dear Husband I will never say goodbye. My Dear Dear Husband till we waltz one more time. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made in Fritz's memory to the Salvation Army.
