RAYMOND WILFRED LINCOLN January 26, 1938 - July 26, 2014 Ray died peacefully at Health Sciences Centre with his wife by his side. Ray was born in Derby, England and came to Canada in 1952 with his parents. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Ada Lincoln, and a daughter Jane from a previous marriage. He is survived by his wife Betty, of 48 years, his son Darren (Darlene), daughter Teressa (Patrick), and two daughters from a previous marriage, Debbi and Suzanne as well as 10 grandchildren: Rhayne, Whynter, Rhaven, Zachary, Evertt, Treyton, Madisyn, Amanda, Stephanie, and Christopher. Ray's favourite pastime was following his home town soccer team the Derby Rams. In early years he loved to play golf and curl. Recently he played darts twice a week. He followed the Jets and the Bombers faithfully. Ray loved music of all kinds from the Ventures and Queen to Willie Nelson and KD Lang. No formal service will be held. A celebration of his life will take place on Tuesday, August 19 at the Canad Inns, Transcona, 826 Regent Ave. W., from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Special thanks to the staff at Health Sciences Centre GH7, Concordia Hospital H1 South, Dr. Ludwig at St. Boniface Hospital, Dr. Horton and Dr. Johnson, and the staff and doctors at CancerCare. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us everyday. Unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
