GUY ARMAND SCHAUBROECK May 31, 1954 - August 8, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Schaubroeck on August 8, 2014. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 60. Guy is predeceased by his father Armand Schaubroeck. He leaves behind his mother Florence, his wife Sharon, son Raymond (Charlene) and grandchildren Alex, Russel, Sam, Nick and Justice; son Jeff (Laura) and grandchildren Abigail, Benjamin and Amelia; son Gary (Bonnie); and sister Michele. Guy was born in Winnipeg and lived most of his life in LaSalle, MB. He held many jobs over the years, but made a career for himself for over 30 years with the Manitoba Department of Highways. He had a passion for antique trucks and tractors, and was a long-time volunteer at the Manitoba Agricultural Museum in Austin, MB. He owned numerous tractors over the years which he restored himself. We would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff at the Portage District General Hospital for all their wonderful care and support. A celebration of Guy's life will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the LaSalle Community Centre in LaSalle, MB. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to CancerCare Manitoba or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.

  • Our most sincere condoleances to you Florence, Michelle, Sharon & family. We were much saddened to hear of Guy's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. It is comforting to know that Guy is no longer suffering and is in a much better place. So sorry that we're so late in sending this message. I just found out today at work through Lynne Gagné. We didn't think that he'd be gone so soon. With love and prayers, Aline & Claude Boisjoli xx - Posted by: Claude & Aline Boisjoli (Friends of Florence & Michelle) on: Sep 04, 2014

  • Guy was a family friend. Our father's were friends and he grew up with us as country neighbors. He worked with my father at MB Highways likely for 20 yrs. He was a kind and giving person, always willing to lend a hand. It was customary to run into Guy and catch up on family activities and wellness. I looked forward to it. Our deepest sympathies to his family, he will be missed. - Posted by: Rod De Vos (Family Friend ) on: Aug 18, 2014

  • Raymond and I played minor hockey together growing up. I recall having to drive back from several hockey games through horrific snowstorms, but rest assured the white Chev pick up with the tall CB antennas and a number eight cue ball at the end of the stick shift would get us home.....Guy thanks for the fun memories and your infectious laugh!! My condolences to Raymond and your family, Mrs. Schaubroeck, Michelle, Sharon and your family. I am sorry I can't be there with you today to celebrate his life. Kind regards, Kurt Cormier and family - Posted by: KURT CORMIER (Family friend\neighbor growing up) on: Aug 16, 2014
