Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLEIF AXEL SUNDE February 3, 1932 - August 8, 2014 Leif passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family after a short illness. He was born in Norway House, MB, the son of a fur trader. Leif loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and boating. It was fitting that he would pursue a career in fisheries biology. After 40 plus years in Manitoba he fulfilled his dream of living on the West Coast and settled with his family in Victoria. Leif leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Donna, three children, John (Lisa), Thor, and Ann Mitchell (David), four grandchildren, Robyn, Ian, Chris and Kelly, and sister Tanis. He was predeceased by his brother, John and sister, Marianne. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria, BC on August 18 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can made to the Victoria Hospice Foundation, 1510 Fort St., Victoria, BC, V8S 5J2 or Gordon Head United Church, 4201 Tyndall Ave., Victoria, BC V8N 3R9.

Mark and I loved our visits with Uncle Leif and Aunt Donna in Victoria. We were given the grand tour and even taken shrimp fishing - one of the highlights of our visits.
