ROBERT GORDON DREGER September 2, 1941- August 9, 2014 Bob passed suddenly in his sleep on Saturday August 9 2014. He spent his childhood on the family farm in Morris Manitoba, which he spoke of fondly throughout his rich and varied life. Bob spent the bulk of his family life in Winnipeg until his retirement when he and his loved wife Eleanor re- located to Kelowna, British Columbia in 2007. Bob worked for the CPR and then served Pro-telec Alarms and provided for his family for an unwavering and dedicated 38 years. He was a member of Rossmere Golf & Country Club, a Mason, and a member of the Khartum Temple Fife and Drum Band. Listening to him learn the fife was not an easy time for his family! Regardless, through these organizations Bob helped hundreds of children and families recover from injuries in burn units across Canada. Bob was also an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for some 40 years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor (Brethauer) Dreger of Kelowna, his two daughters, Jackie of Calgary and Kimberly of Vancouver, his siblings Allan and his wife Lorraine, Doreen and husband Mervin Kaminsky, Violet Dreger, Elaine and husband Allan Eisbrenner, Larry and his wife Sharon, sister in law Myrna Dreger and countless nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents August and Olga Dreger and his brother Ken. Bob requested an intimate, private close family service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Shriners Burn Unit. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.everdenrust.com
