WALLACE (CHUCK) CARTER June 15, 1933 - August 10, 2014 On Sunday, August 10, 2014 Chuck peacefully passed away at the Grace Hospital at the age of 81 years, as a result of complications following a stroke suffered in the month of June. Chuck was a humble person filled with understanding and tolerance of his fellow man. Never would violence be his refuge despite any situation. Chuck's love of all animals and caring for them was lifelong. His love and loyalty to friends and family was firm and unshakable. He enjoyed the silver screen of cinema and musical classics of the same era. Golf was a lifelong passion for Chuck. His achievements in life include ground crew work in Germany servicing the Sabre jet aircraft where comradery ran high. In Winnipeg Chuck logged nearly a million miles accident free as a taxi driver. Chuck will be missed by his peers at the Big A and lifelong friends in Winnipeg and Ontario. No formal ceremony is forthcoming, however donations to the Humane Society in Wallace Carter's name would be greatly appreciated. Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • writing for my Dad Vic...his Ontario family. These guys were life long buddies, similar in many respects, cab drivers, love of animals, born a month apart, My Dad still talks of Charlie today ..2019. - Posted by: Vic Greico (life long pal) on: Jan 13, 2019

  • I knew him as Chuck when we were boyhood cousins in Wpg and at Gimli during the summer. We drifted apart but heard about him from Gerry Carter, in Newmarket, ON from time to time. I met him a few times when I happened to be in the Big A, then lost contact again. My condolences to his family. I'm trying to track down an email for Marilyn, his niece in London. ON, to let her know. - Posted by: Ross Madder (Cousin) on: Oct 18, 2014

  • It is very sad that I have learned the news of Chuck's passing. I did not know him well and only met him in the last year. I'm sorry a relationship never formed but being able to meet him was always on my mind. Condolences to all who new him and his step-son, nieces and family. - Posted by: Cate Vesey (Daughter) on: Aug 17, 2014
