THEODORE (TED) PHILLIP KIESMAN With his family at his side, Ted Kiesman, of St. Albert AB, passed away August 12, 2014 following a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Ted was born December 24, 1945 in Moosehorn, MB. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara (nee Smith), his three children Shannon (Mike) Martin, Carmen (Rob) Buchanan and Matthew (Jen) Kiesman, and three brothers Raymond, Ernest and Leo Kiesman. "Papaloopa" as he was called by his eight grandchildren (Benjamin, Teaden and Kaila Kiesman, Mason, Lukas and Ryleigh Buchanan, Graham and Juliette Martin) was an incorrigible trickster filling their lives with laughter and love. Ted was a wonderful man and a friend to everyone he met. He had a wicked sense of humour and embodied a strong work ethic. These qualities were inextricably rooted in deep love and compassion for everyone. Ted was predeceased by his parents August and Bertha (nee Maier), and four of his eight brothers. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Ave., Winnipeg, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada in Ted's name.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Ted was in his own words "A Mench". Best man I ever knew, fantastic boss, gentle, thoughtful, real, compassionate. I was thinking of talking to him, as it has been years, and I thought I would phone him. And then I thought I wonder if Barb and him are still in St. Albert, and then I saw he is in heaven. You were such a good man. You were loved by your employees, and you are missed. Barb and family please accept my deepest condolences in Ted's passing. I am sorry I didn't know at the time. :( - Posted by: Patricia Caddell -Beaulac (My friend and boss at Direct Transport) on: Feb 06, 2019
