ELIZABETH (BETTY) JOYCE CABLE September 24, 1925 Winnipeg, MB - August 19, 2014, Cobourg ON It is with heartfelt sadness that after living a "wonderful life" that her family announces the passing of Betty Cable. She was predeceased by Bill, her husband of 56 years and the "love of her life". Betty grew up in Winnipeg, MB, lived and worked in Toronto, ON and was an active member of the Lambton Golf and Country Club. She and Bill wintered in Sarasota, FL where they enjoyed golfing, walking the beaches and the company of many good friends. She resided in Cobourg, Ontario for her last 12 years where she enjoyed the support and love of family and community. She will be loved always and remembered by daughter Patti Lawson (Jim), son Greg Cable (Louanne), granddaughters, Jaime Lawson (Ryan McCool), Kim Carlson (Kevin) Erinn Yakabuski (Matthew) Courtney Cable (Josh Swissman) Jessica Cable and grandson Adam Cable and great-grandchildren Hannah, Ava and Charlotte Carlson, Sayler McCool, Whitney and Weston Yakabuski. Many thanks to the staff at the Cobourg Retirement Home and the Extendicare Port Hope for their care and support. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Oakview Funeral Home.
