MARK STANGE With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Mark Bernard Stange following a brief illness. Mark grew up in St. Norbert MB and attended St. Norbert School from kindergarten through Grade 12 where he met many lifelong friends. As a child, Mark was active with Cub Scouts, Boy Scout, Swimming with the Manitoba Marlins and with the JTC Sea Cadet Corps where he earned his Marksman badge. Mark joined the Canadian Armed Forces Naval Reserves where he learned to scuba dive which became one of his favourite pastimes. Mark was a voracious reader who loved Sci-fi, mysteries and fantasy books and as a young man, loved fantasy games like Dungeons and Dragons. Mark attended Red River College and University of Winnipeg and went on to work across Canada in a number of vocations including cooking, baking and call centres such as Convergys and RBC where he was working when he entered hospital. All who knew Mark enjoyed his love of humour, his warm and generous smile and his hearty, inviting laugh. He was a loving son, a devoted brother and was cherished by his extended family in Winnipeg and beyond. Mark was predeceased by his father, Bernard Stange (1994) and is survived by his mother Merrill Stange and his sister Tracey Stange (Mike) as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers. A celebration of Mark's life will take place on Tuesday, September 9, at 11:00 in the main gallery of the St. Norbert Arts Centre, 100 Rue des Ruines du Monastere. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Association and Earthdog Terrier Rescue of Manitoba. Thank you to the staff at Victoria General Hospital Unit 4 South. Also to Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd.

I have so many memories from hanging out a the Stange house on God bless you both. those hot Summer days swimming to hosting him in my home in St Albert Alberta. Laughing with him and cooking with him as well. It is so wrong when we lose our children and Mrs. Stange I wish you did not have to join me in that sisterhood.
