Evan was one of the most kind and genuine people I ever met. He was always willing to help out a friend, seemed to have nearly infinite patience when things didn’t go his way, and always focused on the positive side of things. He never had ulterior motives for doing something – he just loved to help people. He also had an amazing sense of humour and a truly infectious smile. I worked with him for roughly 12 years, and to be honest, I can’t imagine the office without him. He was taken far too young and is terribly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Fanny, Anna and Evan Jr. - Posted by: Matt Murdock (Co-worker) on: Sep 09, 2014

Fanny...I was speechless when told of Evan's passing as I had no idea he was even ill. It's so sad that we lose touch with people who were once such a big part of our lives. I have wonderful memories of growing up and of Evan hanging out at our family home, it was like having another brother. He was gentle and quietly funny and of all my brother's friends i enjoyed his visits the most. I can't imagine your heartbreak.... I feel heartbroken to know that such a special soul is no longer walking among us but truly believe he's watching over us. I'm so sorry for your loss Fanny. My deepest and sincerest condolences to you and your family. - Posted by: Lana Rogers (friend) on: Sep 08, 2014

I am very saddened to hear that Evan has passed on to another level. He was such a joy to work with, and there were many times he would do whatever he could to get the job done, regardless of what he had to do. As a client at HC I knew I could always count on him and Greg....they worked so well together. My sincere condolences to his family who I am sure are heart broken at this time. Take care and know that many are thinking of you at this sad and difficult time. - Posted by: Susan Katanna (Coworker) on: Sep 07, 2014

Fanny and Evan and Evan Jr and Anna were the kind of neighbours everyone wants to have. It was very comforting to know that we lived next door to a wonderful family. I remember Evan as a kind, calm, and friendly person who was quick to help with anything. He was so much more mechanically inclined than me, he became my go-to person for help with the lawn mower, the car or the snow blower. I remember the cold beers on the shared driveway as we chatted about life and family. I am so sad for your loss. - Posted by: Calvin James (ex neighbour) on: Sep 07, 2014

It is just too hard to imagine that such a wonderful person has left us. Evan will always be in my heart. I have never met someone so friendly, helpful and fun to be around. I will never forget the time he bought me a Corona at a Streetheart show. My lime fell on the floor and apparently he was just bending over to pick it up and put it back in my bottle when Fanny came to the rescue. Thank you, because she didn't let him pick it up. LOL. He was always happy and a joy to be around. Evan, I will have a Corona in your honor, sans lime. Fanny, Evan Jr, and Anna, my prayers and thoughts are with you at this difficult time. - Posted by: Greg Seguin (Friend and Co-worker) on: Sep 06, 2014

Evan was probably the best guy I knew that would give you a helping hand or a word of encouragement without any hidden agenda. He would always greet you with a smile and help work out any IT problem you may have had. Outside of the office he was a lot of fun to hang out with. I really enjoyed the time I had together with you Evan. Enjoy your rest. - Posted by: Dan Sonmor (Co-worker/friend) on: Sep 06, 2014
