Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEDITH (EDIE) MARSHALL 1928 - 2014 Peacefully, with her husband and daughter by her side, Edith Ellen Marshall passed away in the morning of September 11, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents Dennis and Edith Done, brother Tommy, and just one short month ago her son Tim. She is survived by her husband Orville, after 67 years of marriage, her daughter Darlene, daughter-in-law Sherri, her grandchildren Tammy (Frank), Chas (Brandi), great-grandchildren Jessica (Ivan), Cody, Andrew, Danika, and great-great-grandson Rylan. She is also survived by a special niece, Alana. Edie was born in Selkirk, MB on April 22, 1928, and resided in Selkirk and area her entire life. She met the love of her life, Orville, when they worked together at Brown's Bread. They married and Edie began her career as a homemaker and mother where her main focus in life was taking care of their home and raising their children. She had two passions at which she excelled - cooking, followed closely by shopping! She was an excellent cook and experimented with most recipes and made them her own. She also loved shopping! When the kids were grown she and Orville went to the city most days to shop and hunt for bargains, and went yard sailing as well. Edie was a kind, generous woman who fiercely loved her family and close friends. She also had a reputation for speaking her mind and was often referred to as "feisty". The family would like to thank the staff at Tudor House for taking such good care of her for the past two and one half years. Special thanks go out to Pauline Stefanik who went above and beyond to lovingly care for her. Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Edie's memory can be made to the Siloam Mission or Kidney Foundation. Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery 204-338-7111

Our deepest sympathy Orville and family. When my mom (Hildred Wur) had her strokes, I had a 6 month old baby. I remember Edie and Orville just showing up at the door and Edie taking Ryan and not once did I have to worry!!! You are with Timmy now and probably meeting mom and enjoying the laughs!!! Such a kind wonderful woman!!! Orville and family you're in our thoughts and prayers forever. - Posted by: Theresa wur and Raymond Macumber (Friends) on: Sep 19, 2014
