Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I am so sorry to learn of "Auntie Irene's" death. I have such positive memories of her. I have only just realised this was a possibility for contact. I remember her coming to visit us in Doncaster, bringing special presents from Canada, going out for tea at cafes with excellent cakes. There was always a lot of laughter. My mum developed Alzheimers very early, diagnosed when she was 54 years old, died 9 years later. Sadly she burned lots and lots of paperwork no contact details or letters left. I would love to know if Irene had photographs of her and mum or any other memorabilia. Thank you very much. - Posted by: Mrs Rosemary Potterill (Daughter of Audrey Mary Kitchin friend and co nursing trainee.) on: Jan 02, 2021

  • I was just addressing a new year's greeting card for Irene and searched online to confirm her address and found this obituary. We kept in touch after Krystal passed away, a connection that I hope helped her, as much as it helped me, to deal with the pain of losing a friend. Prayers and hugs to her family and friends.... xox - Posted by: Donna Rondeau (Friend of Krystal) on: Jan 03, 2015

  • Dear Irene, I wish I had talked to you more often. You were a never-failing source of strength, wisdom, humour and love. You always sent the MOST appropriate cards for any and every occasion and we will miss you dearly. Thank you for everything. Love Gregg - Posted by: Gregg Smith (Sarah's Dad) on: Oct 02, 2014
