JAMES SUGGITT
Born: Jan 03, 1945
Date of Passing: Sep 24, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES SUGGITT James Hamilton Suggitt, born January 3, 1945, passed away on September 24, 2014 with Mom at his side, as always. Jim will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 47 years, Lesley. He was a driven, supportive and loving father to both Jeff (Carol) and Leanne (Blair). Grandpa's departure will leave a huge void in the hearts and lives of his five wonderful grandchildren, Troy and Brett Suggitt and Drake, Seth and Grace Murphy. "Uncle Jim" also leaves behind wonderful family relationships with his sister Janet (Steve) and sisters-in-law Maureen, Judy, Nancy and Laurey (Gerry), as well as a long list of nieces and nephews. He treasured his family, and worked very hard to ensure that these relationships were nurtured. Following in his father's footsteps, Jim became a First Class Power Engineer. He worked at many of the large industrial plants in Winnipeg including Burn's Foods, Freshwater Fish and Molson Brewery. This would likely explain his fondness of fishing, hot dogs and beer. Jim's passions were many. He coached for many years in Transcona for both hockey and ringette; a tradition that both Jeff and Leanne carry on today. He loved fishing, especially with his brother Wayne, who left this world before him. His last fish was caught at Gull Lake with his grandsons this past summer. A private family interment will take place. Donations in Jim's honour can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or the Kidney Foundation of Canada. Special thanks to all of the neighbours and healthcare workers who supported our family through these tough times.

Was so disappointed to see that Jim had passed away. We were neighbours as kids in Norwood and spent more than a dozen years in each others company. Last saw Jim at our small high school reunion at the Norwood hotel. He was a great guy and will be missed. Please accept my deepest condolences. - Posted by: Doug Lovat (Old neighbour and friend) on: Dec 20, 2014
