Calverley, aged 85 years, passed away in the Portage District General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Iris of 61 years; son Scott (Janet) and grandsons Jeris and Curtis; son Cory (Ilse); daughter Wendy (Arnold) Blight and granddaughter Kirstin Blight (Todd Thurston; and daughter Sandy. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel led by Rev Beth Kerr. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Cecil's memory to the Portage District General Hospital Foundation, 524 Fifth St.SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3A8 or to Sunset Palliative Care Inc, Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3B2.
