MARGUERITE SLOBODZIAN (nee ROBIDOUX) After being blessed with a long and fulfilling life, we sadly announce the passing of our dear mother. Mom was born on May 1, 1916 in St. Frances Xavier, MB, the daughter of Eugene Robidoux and Lucie Lavallee. Mom was the last surviving child of ten children. She was predeceased by her husband John (1973), son-in-law Ray (2002) and her daughter Lucie (2015), her siblings Lucien, Irene, Edward, Yvonne, Eva, Marcel, Diane, Sally and Simone. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia, Terry (Charles), Nancy (Victor) and son Bart (Janice), 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Joseph (Sally) and sister-in-law Pat. She was loved and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Our Mother met the love of her life at a dance in Chatfield, MB. They had their first dance there that continued on for the next 32 years until the passing of our Daddy. Shortly after, Mom moved to Winnipeg, and spent many years of her life volunteering and baking for the St. Vital Parish, and at the Rotary Villa, where she lived for over 30 years. Her greatest joy was being with her family. There was an endless amount of love, laughter, delicious food and many cribbage games to be shared. We children were raised with strong family values. Sacrifices were endless, and we will be forever grateful for the values instilled in us. The family wishes to thank Mom's dearest friend Carmen for her friendship, love and support for over the last 30 years. The friendship has turned into another loving daughter for our Mom. We are forever grateful for the love, time and compassion that Carmen has given to her. The family would like to thank Dr. Jane, Dr. Shaw and the nurses, as well as the support staff at Misericordia Place, for the exemplary care provided our Mom. A service celebrating Moms life and legacy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at St. Emile Parish, 556 St. Annes Rd., Winnipeg, MB. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Mom's final resting place will be by her husband's side at the Greenwood Cemetery, in Carman, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia Health Centre. Arrangements provided by Doyle's Funeral Home Ltd. of Carman, Manitoba.

When my mother Angie was admitted at Misericordia Place, Marguerite and my mother Angie sat at the same table for their meals. Lovely lady and always gave us a smile. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. From the beginning of my life Grams was so very close to me. Grams was loving, caring, joyful, generous and extremely proud of all her family. We shared together the best hugs, kisses, baked goodies, cheese nips, scrabble games and soft vanilla ice cream cones. From my toddler years on the farm chasing me out of the garden because I was eating all the peas and playing in dirt or in the shed with Papa getting covered in tractor grease of course while wearing my Sunday church dress. Grams shared my years in her true Christian spirit for not a day without a prayer and an I Love you said. I cherish a lifetime of memories filled with love for my Grams...her spirit lives on...love you Grams xoxo - Posted by: Trina Preddie (Granddaughter) on: Jan 27, 2015

My Gram, I will forever hold my memories of you in my heart. All the fun times in Carmen and all the baking. I can't wait to continue your traditions of crib games and soft ice-cream on a hot summer day. I love you Gram! XOXO Nikki - Posted by: Nikki Brett (Granddaughter) on: Jan 27, 2015
