ELLEN MAYER It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ellen Mayer. Ellen will be so sadly missed by all who knew her and cared for her, but in particularly her loving momma Ida and her sister Heidi, to whom she was completely devoted. Ellen is deeply mourned by her cousins and family members in Canada and in Europe. Ellen was predeceased by her dear father, Hugo. Ellen had a beautiful soul and a loving disposition her entire life. She was a bright light in every day. Quiet and reserved, Ellen was extremely nurturing, with deep concern about the well-being of everyone in her circle. Ellen was also a dedicated, hardworking employee and earned recognition for her 30th anniversary contributions before retiring from her workplace. She loved to dance, and be the first to report on both the time and the weather. A memorial service will be held on February 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main Street.
