ALLAN MOREAU November 4, 1935 March 9, 2015 It is with the deepest of hearts that we announce that our father has left us. He was the greatest man you would have ever known. Allan is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Theresa Moreau; sister, Patricia Joyal; children, Jeff, Les, Derek, Liza, Tara, Danny, Bonnie; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Rose Oliver. Dad worked very numerous years with the City of Winnipeg. He enjoyed driving taxi in his younger years and developing numerous friendships. One of Dad's greatest things in life was retiring out in Beaconia, Manitoba. In compliance with Big Al's wishes a private family service will take place at a later date. Wojcik's Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, 2157 Portage Avenue 204.897.4665, is in care of arrangements. wojciksfuneralchapel.com "Dad we love you! Until we meet again pops!"

  • My Dad shared many meals with Al over the past few months, and by shared, I mean Al would make sure Dad got an extra dessert or an extra egg. He kept the conversation lively at the table with stories of hockey trips and politics. He was always thoughtful of the others and they miss him greatly. Our deepest sympathies to his family and friends, Vivian & Reuben - Posted by: Vivian Palsson (Friend) on: Mar 18, 2015

  • We met when our boys were playing hockey, you and Bill coached and did other volunteer work together. The many clubs were Sargent Park, Orioles, MNSStars, and Midland Centennials. I'll bet you and Bill are sitting, talking and laughing over all the good times and all the years we have been friends. Helping young men to get jobs, like our Dennis and many others, u will be greatly missed Al. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. • To the family of "Big Al" our sincerest condolences. I had the pleasure of meeting Al at many Union meetings and conferences. Al was the epitome of the strength of the union movement, he supported his beliefs with his actions and supported his brothers and sisters in their endeavors. I always considered Al a good friend and I am saddened by your loss. The brother from the "Pointe". - Posted by: Norm Norris (Union Brother) on: Mar 15, 2015

  • Al was my foreman when we worked together out of 659 1/2 Wellington. He would make sure when I was out cutting grass I would have a cup of coffee. As a union Brother he taught me many things in the Parks and Recreation Unit. He was a kind man, a great foreman and would always make time to help you or suggest grabbing a beer. My thoughts are with the family. You will be missed at the honorary life dinner. - Posted by: Barbara Maughan (Verschoore) (firend & co-worker) on: Mar 15, 2015
