SOPHIA CHENEWSKI Sophia Chenewski, a late resident of Parkview Place in Winnipeg, MB, passed away on May 8, 2015, at the age of 102 years. Sophia was born on October 7, 1912, in the RM of Good Lake, Canora District, SK. She was one of 12 children born to Nick and Maria (Tarabas) Chenewski. Her siblings included five sisters and seven brothers. Living on the family farm, Sophia received her education from the one room Strathcona School. At an early age, she left for Winnipeg, seeking and obtaining employment, thus making Winnipeg her permanent home. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sophia is survived by one brother of Winnipeg as well as many nieces and nephews. No formal services were held. Interment took place in the Canora Cemetery.
