We met Adam through Scottish country dancing and he and Rena were dear and cherished friends of ours. A nicer man you could not wish to meet and our only regret was that we did not meet Adam earlier in our lives. Such a talented man when it came to music and an extremely talented musician when it came to Scottish music. Just a lovely man. Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Rena and all the family. - Posted by: Marguerite and John Bell (Friends) on: Jun 07, 2015

The best next door neighbor anyone could have ever asked for. Our chats and updates over the back fence were endless and heart warming. Our deepest sympathies to all. - Posted by: Trish Bergal (Next Door Neighbour) on: Jun 02, 2015

Mr. Adam Laird was a wonderful man. I grew up with his daughter Doreen, and cannot remember a time when I did not know him. As a child and teenager, I spent many hours at the Laird home. From both Mr. and Mrs, Laird, I learned about life during World War 2 (I never see a wedding cake without remembering about the shortage of sugar in Scotland in the 1940's), the challenges of immigrating to the Canadian Prairies in a time when e mails and texting did not exist, and perhaps above all, how nice it is to live in a home filled with the sound of music. From Adam Laird, I learned to appreciate both classical music and the melodies of his native Scotland.....My fond memories of him will stay with me forever. - Posted by: Ms Frankie Glickman (friend) on: May 30, 2015
