Thinking back about my grannie makes my heart fill with joy. She was a thick, intellegent, caring women and would do as much as possible to help her family. I remember when my dad (her son) got cancer and she let us live there, rent free, while he was going threw surgery! Us kids probably drove her a little bit nuts, but no matter what we did she was always more then happy to have us visit. I will miss her a lot but all her memories will stay forever ! - Posted by: Sarah Granger (Granger daughter ) on: Dec 01, 2015

I started working at MTS Corydon in 1968 when Bette was a clerk on the 3rd floor AEI. Always on top of things. I remember Bette and Mike playing Bingo every Wednesday at the Eagles, and the pumpkins they donated towards the Fall Supper. Rest in peace Bette. - Posted by: Barbara Strong (Retired MTS from Operator Services) on: Jul 01, 2015

I have sooo many memories of you Granny!!! One of them, is that you would get me to go on the internet and write on your friends obituaries that passed, is why I feel led to write something here. You were a straight shooter, and would do anything for us. My Robbie, my girls you would say. You were so supportive, at every concert, play, awards ceremony, and in the front row because you would get there soo early just to make sure you had the best seat. I know you were proud of us. You taught me a lot, I love you and will miss you!! your Robbie - Posted by: Robin Granger Doerksen (grandaughter) on: Jun 11, 2015

Bette was a good friend of mine for over half a century. I worked with Bette for several years and I lived with her for three and a half years. Those years were fun years as we worked graveyards for MTS. During my stay with Bette I got to know her generous parents and Grant. Bette was tidy, quick and very accurate. She called a spade a spade. I have wonderful memories of Bette, especially of a trip we made to Las Vegas and California with her old friend Tom Hewitt. I had many wonderful visits & conversations with Bette over the years. We met in Mexico & instantly clicked - she made me laugh because she was so candid - she told it like it was - no sugar coating anything! She visited me in Stonewall for the fall supper annually. Bette was so proud of her grandchildren & great-grandchildren; it was wonderful to hear all about them & their accomplishments. I will remember her forever! My sincere condolences to Mike & the family at this sad time. - Posted by: Barb Unger (Friend) on: Jun 09, 2015
