Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWALTER EWANCHUK May 4, 1923 - June 10, 2015 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our Father, Grandfather, Uncle and friend, Walter, surrounded by his loving family at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be forever missed by his son Bill (Julie), their children; Jarett, Jordan, Jayanne and son Barry Evans and wife Debbie, their children; Chelsea, Reed, and Brooke. Along with many other dear family and friends. After 47 years of marriage Walter was predeceased by his loving wife Elsie in 1994. He lived a full and active life until recent health issues. There will be a celebration of his life at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street, W. St. Paul on Tuesday, June 16 at 2:00 pm. "Grandpa, love you forever"

I met Walter because he became good friends with my mother-in-law, Jean. My first impression of him was "What an energetic man!" and when he gave me hug, my impression was confirmed. He was probably the best hugger I had met and I made him t-shirts with that logo so others would know that! He had a good sense of humor and was a kind man. I know he enriched Jean's life as she did his. They were a good match. Our family got to know him over the years and he got to know us.
