Dear Ron, (and those he left behind) I also have MS and worked with MS society, which is how I met Ron. He was so committed to issues but always voiced his opinions in a kind and thoughtful way. I recall Ron's helpful perspectives on disability and services in a time when the sector was making small progress. We swapped some brief stories about the prairies (I grew up near Yorkton, SK) and which I appreciated. Most notably, Ron sent me a copy of the book he wrote. He wrote his story in a magical way and clearly demonstrated his love for his family and friends. I trust he is flying around us still. In my now advanced stage of MS I appreciate and take strength in my memories of Ron. I lost touch with him after changing jobs, which I regret, but he gave an example of living life with joy and dignity. I'm thankful for having known him, albeit for a short time. Please accept my sympathy. - Posted by: Cynthia McEwan (colleague in disabiliy advocacy) on: Jun 16, 2021
