ANNETTE JULIA KUCY (nee PRODANIUK) February 21, 1938 - July 9, 2015 Nettie-J passed peacefully at the age of 77 years at Seven Oaks Hospital, Winnipeg, MB. Music was Nettie's very exceptional talent and lifelong passion. She enjoyed 27 plus years playing first violin with the Winnipeg Pops Orchestra, 25 plus years with the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians, Mandolin Orchestra and, as well, played with the Mennonite Community Orchestra. The First Unitarian Universalist Church was also an integral part of her life as were various other groups and organizations including The Winnipeg Humane Society. Nettie was a thoughtful, caring, charitable, sociable and wise woman. She had a private and independent nature. Nettie had a smile for everyone and friends from here to eternity. She expressed her thanks to all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and to the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service. She relayed she had "the best care ever." As per Nettie's wishes and direction, there will not be a funeral service. She formally requested "the ashes be scattered in a forest." This wish will be carried out in the very near future. Nettie-J will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. She touched many lives and enjoyed a full and rewarding life. She is at peace.
