WAYNE MAXYMCHUK It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Wayne on Monday, July 13, 2015. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Peggy, daughter Tracy (Grant), son Shane, and grandchildren Kyle, Blair and Micheal. Wayne's love for his family and his passion for sports took him to countless ringette, baseball and hockey games in the role of spectator, coach and in the biggest role of DAD. This love carried through to all of his grandchildren; guaranteed that five minutes after a game started, Wayne and Peggy would arrive, and you could also guarantee that you would hear Wayne shouting; shoot buddy, nice hit, run, and what kind of call was that! His grandchildren may have towered over him recently but you don't have to look far to see there is a piece of "Grampa" in each of them. Wayne's greatest love in this world was unquestionably Peggy. Whether it was going to Sokol bingo, visiting friends and family, playing golf with Shane or Tracy and Grant, one thing was for sure he wanted to be with Peggy. This unconditional love was apparent each and every day of their 49 years of marriage. In honouring his wishes there will be no formal service, friends and family are invited to a gathering on Sunday, July 19, 2015 between 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. at the Maxymchuk residence. If friends so desire, donations can be made to a charity of their choice.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Peggy, Allen and I were so surprised and sorry to read of Wayne's passing. It seems like it was only a short time ago that we were talking with you and your grandson at the Library. We were talking about Wayne and Tracey and Shane. Life changes and we must go on. Just want you to know that we are thinking of you and your family. I know you are strong, but know that others will be there for you. Take care Peggy. Our deepest condolences to you and your family from Linette and Allen - Posted by: Linette and Allen Bell (Friend) on: Jul 19, 2015

  • Dear Peggy - Henry, Jason and I are deeply sorry for your loss. Condolences to Tracy, Shane and their families as well. It is always sad when an important link in a family chain is broken. We wish you strength and peace at this time. Sincerely, Connie Schritt - Posted by: Connie Schritt (friend) on: Jul 19, 2015

  • I always liked Wayne. Whether it was Sharing a glass of wine or playing a game of poker. He was a down to earth refreshing kind of person. My husband would look for him at any company event and was always pleased when he found someone he could have a beer with and talk to. Our men come into our lives for a reason, I am sure there is some greater reason why they have to leave. Wayne will be missed. Love you guys. - Posted by: Gloria Pointon (friend) on: Jul 18, 2015
