My Mom Eleanor Okrainec and Beth worked together for the Federal Government in Ottawa during WWII and continued their relationship until my Mom's death in 2013 - a period of over 65 years! My mother considered Beth one of her dearest and closest friends, they ventured on many trips together over the years, and always celebrated their June birthdays together until they no longer could, but Beth always dropped her a line or gave her a call. She was always so kind to Mom and our family and I have many happy memories of spending time doing ceramic work with her mother Mrs. Gould in the basement of their home on Talbot when I was just a child. I was sorry to hear she had passed away, but am hopeful that her spirit and Mom's find each other so they can continue their wonderful friendship in Heaven. - Posted by: Bonnie Siemens (Eleanor Okrainec's Daughter) on: Jul 28, 2015

I met Beth at Grey Street back in 1994/5. We enjoyed Bible Study, Worship and Pastoral Care Committee, lunch after church on Sundays. The Saturdays before Communion Sunday, Beth and I spent time preparing the elements and sanctuary for the service. When Beth was ready to move from her home on Talbot, I was able to have a friend I worked with at Lions to help get Beth into Lions Place, where she lived for many years. Beth, my friend Elaine and I had great chats, and laughs, together. - Posted by: Diane Turner (Friend from Grey Street United Church) on: Jul 25, 2015
