KATHERINE (KATIE) GLOWA (nee LASHEWICZ) Katie died peacefully on August 10, 2015, at Country Meadows in Neepawa, MB. A true pioneer woman, Katie was predeceased by her husband James in 1979. She is survived by her five children Ed (Judy), Joyce (Ken), Lillian, Don (Kim) and Barry (Julie); eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Alonsa Community Centre. Viewing will take place at 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. Service at 1:00 p.m.

  • We send heartfelt condolences to the family who have lost a VERY special lady. Her kitchen/home was always open to friends and family – to have coffee or a meal and friendly conversations – many laughs. I have nothing but good memories of Mrs. Glowa and all her family; to me she was a second Mum – she had a HUGE heart of gold and treated me like I was her very own. She was someone that as teen agers we could converse with and she would give us very good advise. She is forever in my memories – we have lost a good and kind friend –but she is at peace now and much happier. Her last few years were hard on her and on those who loved her..
