AUDREY VEITCH (nee TAYLOR) October 3, 1933 - August 14, 2015 Audrey was surrounded by her family when she peacefully passed away. Left to mourn Audrey are children, Kim, Karen (Brian), Jeff Podwysocki (son-in-law), Duane (Susan), Heather McDonald (Greg), Laureen Say (Charles), Kyle, Lance (Laura); and grandchildren Aynsley (Campbell), Adam, Derrick, Connie, Kurtis, Kelsi (Frank), Cailean, Colin, Jenna, Charles Jr., Kayla, Daclan, Calverley, Jessica and Bill. She was predeceased by her parents; four siblings; son, David Todd; husband David; and daughter Alison. Audrey was born in Netley, MB where she had many fond memories of growing up on the farm. She spent several years in Winnipeg Beach raising her children before moving to Winnipeg in 1972. Audrey worked for a number of years at the Municipal Hospitals where she was inspired to become a LPN at the age of 47. She was a world traveler, loved nature, the theatre and had a very active life biking, canoeing, golfing, dancing, curling, skiing and enjoyed all of her grandkids' activities. She loved Folklorama and spent many years volunteering at the Scottish Pavilion as well as many other causes. A celebration of Audrey's life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Churchill Park United Church, 525 Beresford Avenue. Special thanks to the Victoria Hospital Emergency and ICU staff for their excellent care of Mom. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. I will always remember Audrey as being fun-loving and quick to laugh. We shared many hours of fun at Adventures. I am so sorry to hear of her passing and send my condolences to her family.
