MORRIS OSTROVE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Morris (Moe) Ostrove on August 14, 2015. Born in Winnipeg on May 16, 1925, he is survived by his daughter Glory (Robert Pudavick), granddaughter Brittanny (Patrick Laferriere), sister Rebecca Kagen, and numerous nephews and nieces. Moe was predeceased by his wife Molly, brothers Abner and Sam, sister Sarah, and grandson Brian. A graveside funeral was held August 17 at Rosh Pina Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Martin Itzkow, Jeff Itzkow, Arnold Pereles, Mark Paul, Ira Kay and Raymond Pudavick. After serving in the Air Force during the Second World War, Moe had several careers. He began in agricultural seed sales, and later moved into construction and renovations. Moe was a natural salesman, and before retiring, he developed a business of travelling sales, selling jeans and other clothes in remote towns between here and Edmonton. Moe will be remembered for his devotion to family, his sense of humour, his love of sports and his ability to relate to people from all walks in life. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for the compassionate, attentive care they gave Moe. They are a remarkable team of professionals. Thanks also to the many family and friends who visited Moe during his illness, brightening his days. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Riverview Health Centre Foundation or to a charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My condolences to you and your family, I knew Moe through my father, he was a great man, always smiling. - Posted by: Paul Rayburn () on: Sep 22, 2016

  • Moe was a very kind considerate and caring man. He was a neighbour for a few years to my mom Sylvia and Moe became friends with many residents on that floor of the apartment tower. He had a big and warm heart and was very welcoming to new residents @ the apartment complex. He was also always very kind to me, her son Brad. We were intending to visit him at his new residence as was discussed with Moe, for the holidays. He will be missed.
