MARNIE GAIL FOREMAN (nee PARKER) On September 29, 2015 at the age of 46, Marnie Gail Foreman passed away at the Victoria Hospital. Marnie is survived by her parents, Brian and Gail Parker, husband Brian, daughter Madison, and son Brayden. Marnie was born on November 26, 1968 in Carman, Manitoba. Growing up, Marnie was very involved in the community participating in basketball, curling, fastball, golf, ringette and volleyball. She loved her time working at the outdoor pool and later bartending at the golf clubhouse. Marnie left Carman after graduating from Carman Collegiate in 1986. In June of 1991, Marnie graduated from Red River Community College with a diploma in Early Childhood Development. Using her education and passion for children, Marnie went on to work for the City of Winnipeg running programs in the St. James and Whyte Ridge areas. Marnie adored her family and friends. Spending time with her Mom and Dad, winter vacations, camping, friend's cottages, and annual trips to Cass Lake, Minnesota, were times she loved and cherished. Nothing made Marnie more proud than watching her children participate in extracurricular activities. Her cheering could be heard at many a holiday concert, soccer or hockey game. Curling became her passion. She loved the competition, but more so the fellowship of her teammates and best friends. She looked forward to spending time with the girls both on the ice and after the game. She also loved travel. Hawaii, California, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Estonia, Russia, Finland, Tahiti, and Rome were some of her favourite destinations. She appreciated the local cultures and had the unique ability to fit in where ever she went. Marnie, your smile and laugh will be lost but not forgotten. Your heart and spirit touched many people and made us all better for being a part of your life. Marnie's life can be celebrated on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Temple at 440 Hargrave Street. We would like to thank the staff at Victoria Hospital, Cancercare Manitoba, and all of "Team Marnie" for their support over the past three years.
