LILLIAN KUSSY It's with the fondest memories that we said goodbye to our grandmother - our Baba - Lillian Kussy (Myluk) on October 3, 2015. Born August 2, 1928, Baba was many things to many people. A wife to Ben, a mother to Steve (Lorri), Jim, and Bob (Goota), and the most loving grandmother to Andrew, Daniel, Joey, Sam, and Joe. Lil understood the value of even the smallest gesture of love, and we will forever smile thinking about the many incredible years of bedtime stories, garage sale treasures, magazine clippings, and family dinners. Lil's warmth was not reserved just for her family, as she could always be found out in her community. Whether it was the Crescentwood Community Centre, where she spent a great deal of her time volunteering, cheering on her sons and their friends from the sidelines, and occasionally shouting "Bingo!"; or even just the checkout at the nearby department store. If you ever crossed paths with our Baba, chances are that you too got to see what a kind, thoughtful person she was. A come-and-go gathering will be held on Friday, October 9 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Steve and Lorri's residence. For more information please contact Steve at stevekussy@gmail.com or (204) 799-5777. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Operation Smile at www.operationsmile.org because Baba believed that every child deserves to smile.
