Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBIENVENIDO AQUINO It is with deep and heavy sadness that we announce the death of Bienvenido "Ben" Aquino, who passed away on October 7, 2015 at Grace Hospital. Bienvenido is survived by his wife Caroline "Ning Ning", son Richard-Anthony, sister Mila (Che), brothers Danny (Nedy) and Roger, nephews Victor, Rodante (Lanie) and Jon (Rowena), many loved ones and extended family throughout North America and the Philippines. Bienvenido was a loving husband, father and friend to all. Born and raised in San Dionisio, Paranaque, Philippines, he was educated in Accounting and Business Data Processing. Bienvenido immigrated to Winnipeg and enjoyed a 30 year career at Bristol Aerospace where he was employed as a Machinist. He was beloved by his co-workers who all became lifelong friends. His passion was singing, which earned him the nickname "Elvis" by D'Associates, a Filipino Social Group where Ben was an original founding member. The family would like to thank The Grace Hospital for their loving care and support, notably Dr. Joshua, Dr. George, Dr. Zabolotny, ER, ICU and the 3rd Floor Nursing and Care Staff. Visitation (Lamay) will be held from 6:00 to 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, and Thursday, October 15 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens (4000 Portage Ave.). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 16 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish (2400 Portage Ave,) followed by interment at Assumption Cemetery (3990 Portage Ave.). A lunch reception will be held at Assiniboia Downs, 3975 Portage Ave., following interment. In lieu of flowers, In Memoriam donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. He's one of my Godfather in the Philippines and never met him for almost 40 yrs of my life and last 2 yrs ago, I went to Winnipeg and finally met him.
