DERYCK HOWES It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Deryck Howes on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Oakview Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of Betty for 57 years; father to Tom Howes and Gillian D'Aurizio; grandfather to Thomas, Margaret, Gordon and Liam; great-grandfather to Elizabeth and Austin; and brother to Cyril. Deryck was an avid cyclist and enjoyed taking long walks, gardening and reading. He was a draftsman by trade and worked for various aerospace companies, including Avro and Vickers. A celebration of Deryck's life will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 between 1:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the St. James Royal Canadian Legion, 1755 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7.
