Predeceased by her husband Ivan; survived by her sons, Peter (Vera) and Alex (Beverly); grandchildren, Anthony (Jamie), Andrew (Tia), Victoria, Alexander and Lauren; great-grandchildren Gracie, Anderson and Luke. Funeral service was held February 5 at First Memorial Boal Chapel. Interment followed at North Vancouver Cemetery.

Margareta was an old (Winnipeg) close friend of neighbor Robert Kirsten and his two sons, Roland and Manfred, from 1956-1969. A loving Mother of Peter and Alex, who raised them to prosper. Robert and Margareta also helped to teach one another's children about "right and wrong" as an investment for their own futures. May you rest in Peace Mrs. Petrenko. Manfred - Posted by: M.
