DAVID ROUGEAU Peacefully, at the hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep regret that we announce the death of David, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the age of 58. He will be sadly missed by his friend, Norma, daughter Dayle and his brothers, Robert (Mariette) and Daryl (Irene), Uncle Garfield and Aunt Marjorie Eckert of Edmonton, Aunt Emma Eckert of Winnipeg, Uncle Richard Rougeau of Montreal, Aunt Anne Bonnett of Ottawa, Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Pat Rougeau of Kelowna, Aunt Terry Sinkwich of Winnipeg and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Lucien Paul Rougeau and Louise Juanita Rougeau (nee Eckert). Dave started with Air Canada in the 1970s and had over 35 years of service in many different roles with Air Canada Maintenance. He had a passion and dedication towards his work when he was working on the ACFT as a Licensed Avionics Mechanic, to his later years working in leadership and support roles in Management. David's passions were renovating his dream house, playing his bass guitar with his friends and bands, as well as working on his cars. When he had time to spare, he loved golfing. Special thanks to the MUHC in Montreal for the compassionate care and support during David's final days and to Brent Rougeau for his kindness towards the family. In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, for those who desire may make a donation to the Cancer Society.
