Date of Passing: Feb 24, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE REIMER (nee FROBISHER) March 7, 1943 - February 24, 2016 It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Memere, with family by her side. Irene passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her sons, Peter (Helen) and Darryl (Kristen). Memere will be sadly missed by all of her grandchildren who adored her, James (Tim), Travis, Sheldon, Mackenzie, Cheryl (Jay), Jake and Jonny. Irene was predeceased by her husband Jack; granddaughter Jennifer and many brothers and sisters. She still leaves to mourn her sister Florence; brothers, Edward (Adrienne), Maurice (Claudette); as well as, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She took an early retirement from the Louis Riel School Division to watch over her grandchildren. Mom's family was her life, she loved her family with everything she had and was the most compassionate, loving, caring and giving person. A special thank you to St. Boniface CancerCare, all the Palliative Care Team and the EMS responders at that time of need. In compliance with her wishes, she has been cremated and a private service for immediate family will take place. Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day, Unseen, unheard, But always near, still loved, Still missed and always dear. God Bless You Mom

Condolences from myself and my family. Thinking of you Kristen, Darryl and family. From the few times I had met your mom I enjoyed. She was a lovely woman who did truly love her family. It has been an honour to have met her. Hugs. - Posted by: Cheryl Rimke (Friend/Co-worker) on: Mar 19, 2016

Peter and Darryl, my first memory of your mom was when I would have been very young, maybe 5 years old, and she and your dad were visiting my parents. I just had to bring some gift I had been given to show HER, and no one else. Of course, she admired whatever it was with her warm, kind voice. Another memory - her ability to decorate was legend in my child's mind. I still remember, after all these years, how she decorated your little home on St. Mary's. She did it so well I wanted to live there. My heart goes out to you with the loss of your kind and gracious mom, and hope you can find comfort in the "little things". - Posted by: Cindy Barkman Loewen (Niece) on: Mar 09, 2016
