KATHLEEN MARY KEYS
Date of Passing: Feb 25, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHLEEN MARY KEYS It is with deep sadness that the family of Kathleen Mary Keys announces that she passed away on February 25, 2016 in Mississauga, Ontario. She will be very much missed by daughters, Janice and Jerri Lynn; and by grandchildren, Chelsea, Josh, Adam, Kelsey and David. She was predeceased by husband Frank in 2003. Kathleen was born and raised in Winnipeg and remained a Winnipegger at heart, although she relocated to southern Ontario late in life. She married Frank in 1947 and they moved into a house in the St. James area, where they lived for more than 40 years. Kathleen was known in the neighbourhood as an excellent bridge player and continued to play well into her eighties. She also did volunteer work for the Liberal Party and Christmas charities. After Frank retired, they enjoyed many happy years playing golf, attending Blue Bomber games and travelling. They were members of the Snowbirds group who travelled to Palm Desert every year. A donation to the Alzheimer Society in Kathleen's name would be much appreciated.

I remember Mrs. Keys, Kay to my mom and dad, Dot and Jack Slidders. My Dad, Jack and Frank, met at City now Winnipeg Hydro and the 2 couples became very good friends. The Keys and Slidders loved to party and they had great times together. Mr. and Mrs. Keys were over at our house many times. My wife and I have lived in Toronto since the early 1970's but we return to Winnipeg on a regular basis to visit my Mother, Dorothy, who turns 100 this year. Our condolances on your loss.
